“I AM the vine, you are the branches; those who abide in ME, and I in them, bear much fruit!”

A single word is sufficient in Jesus’ beautiful invitation to be one with HIM in John 15:5. Thus our theme for 2020 and unto Eternity is; ABIDE! Our lifeblood, hearts, and our souls are dependent entirely upon our being, remaining, and ABIDING in HIM. Grafted and growing in a vital, intimate love relationship with our Savior...and thus bearing fruit. The essence of who we are to be! The essence of our calling! But, look ever so closely at Christ’s heart, “...bearing much fruit” is NOT the calling, it is simply a byproduct of HIS intimate call upon us to simply and profoundly ABIDE in HIM!

ABIDE with us, and our Lord Jesus Christ in 2020! Seeking HIM with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength! Accepting NOT any other gift, as beautifully adorned as the package may appear, and leaving the most precious One untouched...unaccepted, and thus not cherished, and then certainly never shared. ABIDING not only begins with Prayer, but it is also the only way that we can truly ABIDE in HIM! Everything else will follow if we just ABIDE!

HIS Peace

You may not recognize it by its address in Numbers, but if you have been around “church” very long, you’ll recognize the precious words our Lord shares with us in Numbers 6:24 and beyond: “May the Lord bless you and keep you;May the Lord make HIS face to shine down upon you;and be gracious to […]

“I AM with you…”

I love statistics, quotes, and in general just insights into who we are as people. Isaiah 41:10 was the most searched for “Googled” verse in 2018, and what a verse it is. Yet more than that, tells us that humanity is searching, and herein are our Lord’s promises to HIS children who know HIM by […]

Devotional #4 – The Painful, Yet Necessary Effects of Pruning

John 15:1-2:  “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” It is evident in this verse that both the Son and the Father share an […]

Devotional #3 – Our Fruit Confirms Us

John 15:8 states that “By this, my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” According to this verse, what is it that proves we are genuinely “abiding” or have a broken connection with the vine?   What evidence can you point to that confirms “fruit” in your life? […]

Day 2 - Abide

Devotional #2 – The Value of His Words

John Piper further notes that “Jesus gets very specific about what is flowing between the vine and the branch. He mentions words — His words — His love, and His joy.  John 15:7 says, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for […]

Day 1 - Abide

Devotional #1 – What Does It Mean to Abide?

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, […]

…and finding HIM!

Authentic, effective ministry always, alwaysflows out of union and communion with God. Then, if we’re going to be effective servants of the Lord,if we’re going to have something to give others,we have to cultivate and maintaina growing, vital, intimate love relationship with God.” Dear Friends, and Prayer Warriors,    I’ll be as brief as I can, […]

Nemo’s Story

The 2018 and 2019 mission team members that have served in Guatemala have had the privilege of getting to know Nehemias.
