“Prayer moves God.” is yet another quote from “The Weapon of Prayer” by EM Bounds, and as we look through Scripture, we see that Prayer [in fact does] move God!  Moses cried out for the Israelites, God did not destroy.  Abraham prayed that God would spare Sodom if but 50, then 40, then 30, then 20, then 10 righteous people were found.  In the end, God did destroy Sodom, but was it because Abraham had stopped asking?

That beautiful verse in James further proves that “Prayer [must] move God” because HIS word promises it will…but wait.  I’m not sure about you, but I am seldom righteous.  In fact, I’m the opposite of that more times than I’d like to admit.  Is hope lost?  Can our prayers actually move God?  Only in our Lord Jesus Christ, GOD’s/our Righteousness!  With Jesus Christ in our hearts, through the power of the Holy Spirit, our prayers are “powerful and effective“…NOT because of who we are, but because of Who HE is!  Thus, “Prayer moves GOD”, because “Prayer moves the heart of God” through HIS son Jesus Christ!
