Day 28 –  “…a spiritual transaction” Huh?

My friends, Day 28 has arrived and only 3 days are left of our journey together in 30 Days of Prayer! The word “transaction” may seem kind of cold to describe the personal relationship we can have with Christ Jesus our Lord…yet it is one we can understand easily, as every one of us transact every single day of our lives…secularly speaking. So Prayer should be, as transactions are, a very normal, ongoing, exciting, interaction between us and “the Lover of our souls”…not someone just seeking something from us...or us seeking something from them, as is a worldly transaction…which have become incredibly common, but unfortunately cold (think online purchases) in our lives today.

Day 27 – “…for what is yet to come!”

Today is an exciting day because TOMORROW, Saturday, Oct 19th, we begin our final 3 day fast for this 30 days of prayer. The culmination of prayer leads to the PBM board meeting on Monday night. So we fast and pray for that and for the personal things going on in our lives.

Day 26 – “…what prayer cannot do.”

Prayer Warriors…here we are! Day 26, or only 5 days remaining in our 30 Days of Prayer journey! I am compelled to confess to you all; I have thought more about Prayer in these last 26 days than I have for well over a year. Yes, I Pray. I Pray often. PBM was/is built upon Prayer…but to Pray is one thing, to get to know our Lord HIMself through Prayer is yet another!

Day 23 – “…tasted and seen that the Lord is good.”

In our last email on fasting, I challenged you to fast during Oct 19-21. If for no other reason, then because Jesus fasted. We saw all the miracles that came in His ministry, in part because of that sacrifice and His special connection to God. If He did it as a divine-human, we should even more so since we’re only human. It strengthens our connection with the Holy Spirit within us and our communications with God. It humbles us which allows God to be even more powerful in our lives.

Day 20 – “…unto the Lover of my soul!”

Day 20, of our 30 Days of Prayer to be Centered in HIS Holy and Perfect will for this, HIS ministry is upon us. That Prayer is not simply for PBM, for if you are Praying for “The Center of HIS Holy and Perfect will”, that same Prayer will also transform your life as it has mine. There is no better place to be than in the Center of HIS Holy and Perfect will! No better place, now or Everlastingly!

A Long-Awaited Homecoming!

Hey PBM Family, We celebrate with Bruce and Jen as after 111 days in Parkland Burn Center in Texas, they have been successfully moved to Florida…back to their home and family!  This is something they have longed for, for a very long time.  Mountains continue to be moved through the thousands that have and are […]

Day 15 – “…it is time to fast and pray”

“People all over America and the far reaches of the world are beginning to see that fasting is not just for a select few—but that God is a rewarder of all who diligently seek Him. Fasting and prayer bring you closer to God. While that may be a brief answer, it is by no means simplistic. Fasting is a short season that releases long-term rewards.”

Day 10: “Eternal Life is this…”

“After Jesus had spoken these words; ‘But take courage, I have overcome the world’, HE looked up to Heaven and Prayed, ‘Father the hour has come, Glorify your Son so that the Son may Glorify you since you have given HIM authority over all people to give Eternal Life… And this is Eternal Life, that […]

Day 5 – Why add fasting?

For those of you who might have known Luke slightly better, I’m Ashley. I have 3 daughters - twin 3.5-year-olds and a nearly two-year-old. I’m also 32 weeks with my youngest. Yes, they are all girls! Their names are Nicole Faith, Isabella Grace, Brooklyn Hope, and Amari Michaela Mercy.

The Ultimate Essence of Smallness

The very reality of this title might indicate that there is something wrong with smallness, but my purpose is not to debate the value of big versus small or vice versa.  Bigger is not always better.  Depending on the context, either could have greater value.  Yet, when it comes to the essence of our faith, […]

…a tragedy that cannot be

How am I to put into words a tragedy that cannot be?  Yet somehow I must.      Maybe it all comes down to one word.  A word that has been gaining much attention and focus in these last few years within PBM staff and leadership.  That word is; “Relationships.”  In these last few […]
