Team City Church Rockford/Northwest Iowa

Dear Prayer Warriors,

It has been just a remarkable Mission Team season thus far in Guatemala. PBM has hosted five amazing teams, all of which experienced incredible harvests as they stepped out of their comfort zones and obediently followed Christ into unexpected places to share the gift of salvation to those who do not know HIM.

Team City Church Rockford/NW Iowa will be arriving this afternoon. Please Pray for this group of 31 as they make their way through security, and for each and every one our Lord has called us to in the week of ministry ahead. Pray also for our staff as they pick up the team that they do not encounter any complications with parking near the airport. The enemy is lurking nearby, waiting for the opportunity to cause delays and distractions, and we need YOU to provide us with a strong offense!

“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.” John 15:8

We did all of that mom. WE built a lot of relationships. I think everybody stayed safe. The food has been really good. I even had fun working. I’m on Dad’s team.

Dave and Levi- We are doing well- sunny and windy today, snow chances Saturday. Our plans tonight and this weekend have changed- all AAU tournaments from here on are cancelled due to coronavirus- it has gotten crazy. No March Madness, no NBA- things are all starting to be cancelled. So we will have a pretty low key weekend I guess!

Praying that all is well with you guys- loved seeing the pics Nemo posted today! Looks like it is going well. Praying that dedication day is a great success! Love you guys!

So many thoughts as I work along side new friends building houses, God is so faithful! To see the two little boys at our house. First shy and by the end of the day Jimmy was all smiles and sharing my peanuts and candy! Prayers are being answered! And maybe add a prayer for energy!! I’m doing fine …on God’s strength.

You truly shine when you are serving, no matter where, but your eyes are super bright when you speak of time serving in Guate! I am excited to hear of this trip! (Although I hear it is cut short) You are a true joy Kathy!

Romans 10:14-15 “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Praying you through this week. Thank you for answering the call and bringing the good news to the beautiful people of this country.

Blessings to the entire group. We are praying now, ahead of time, for tomorrow’s dedication time. May you pave the way for change: in the lives of the Guatemalan friends, the team, and beyond. His Mercy is More!

Oh, and Naomi is asking for a souvenir….bring back coffee and “Guatemalan beans” ?

Hey, sorry I haven’t been able to write yet. We have been super busy and I haven’t been able to find someone who knew how to use this to help me until now. It has been a real good trip so far. Paige has been using her spanish a lot to help get her house done. Hopefully things are going well there. Tomorrow is dedication day already. It has been going fast. Paige had a migrane this morning that I think came from not being hydrated enough but got though it and it has not bothered her at all now. She has a lot of people bugging her to drink water now. She was super sad than she might not be able to go to the orphanage if she was actually sick. I am going to head down there now for a little bit before dinner and devotions. Hopefully you get this ok. Love ya both!

So good to hear from you. Glad the migraine didn’t hold Paige back. I’m so excited to hear about your different Guatemala families. It’s crazy how you fall in love with them in just two or three days. You and Paige are on different building teams, right?

I see there is another team from Iowa there. I can only imagine how many hunting trips you have planned for next fall! If you and Jeff were there together, Trish and I would really be in trouble. LOL

Things are going ok here. Busy week at work and baseball stuff keeps us hopping, but the weekend is almost here. Clay was able to play outside today, which caused some serious baseball fever!

Have to admit I miss you tons, and it’s only been three days! But I’m glad you get to experience Guatemala and the beautiful people there. I am continuing to pray for all of you, and trusting the Lord will keep you all safe, healthy and protected. Dedication day will be SO amazing for you!

Better stop rambling now. Love you both lots and will continue to pray for you. Enjoy every minute and write me back soon. Miss you! 🙂
