What is Bring The Change?

It is an invitation for individuals, Sunday schools, organizations, and families to participate in providing care for the precious children that God has placed at Open Doors Orphanage in Guatemala. Our goal is to fill 2000 boxes with change! 100% of the funds collected will go directly to Open Doors providing the children with; medical care, nutritious meals, clothing, a safe secure home, and loving Christian caregivers.

How can I help?

1- Fill the box with change (coins and/or bills).
2. Bring the box to one of our 2 drop-off locations and enter to win a mission trip for 2 to Guatemala.
3- Tell others about the exciting fundraising opportunity! Challenge friends, youth group, staff, or your church to participate!
4- Contact Maureen at maureen@paradisebound.org for additional materials for your group or organization.

About Open Doors Orphanage

Open Doors is unlike any orphanage. These precious children are being raised on a mission base where we seek to passionately reach the lost!

The orphanage began operating on November 9, 2011, after a lengthy process to obtain permits. It was on this date, thanks be to God, that we received the paperwork to operate legally. The first child we received was Juan de Dios who was found abandoned in an empty lot. He was rescued by people who informed the local authorities and brought him to our orphanage on December first of that same year.

Up to the present time we have received 88 boys and girls of which 82 have been connected to and returned to a family member such as a parent, uncle, aunt, grandparent, etc. depending on the status of the family member. We currently have 6 children in the orphanage.
