Open Doors Orphanage continues to provide a haven for more than 20 vulnerable young children. Our committed team of caregivers meets the children’s physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Even more importantly, they are shown the love of Jesus and have an opportunity to learn about Him during their stay.
Since 2011, our orphanage has been a refuge for 150+ children. With that much traffic through the facility, it is understandable that Open Doors needed some TLC. As a response, PBM is currently underway with major and minor improvements to the orphanage to enhance the care the children receive.
PBM has tried for years to secure monthly sponsors for the orphanage, and we’ve also attempted specific fundraisers aimed at meeting this need. This year we are asking our supporters for a one-time gift in April. Together, we can pool our financial support and cover the annual budget for Open Doors. We know this is an ambitious goal – $207,000 – but we serve a big God and remain focused on seeking Him, even with our financial needs.
We are calling our campaign “Keys for Kiddos” in recognition of the key partners/supporters of PBM who pray for our ministry, who send mission team members to Guatemala, who, as a church family, support the work of PBM, and those who financially support the ministry.
