A mere mental exercise?  A vocal performance?  Not even close.  “…a spiritual transaction”?  Yes!

Dear Prayer Warriors (Intercessors),

Ponder with me the word “transaction”, that appears in Spurgeon’s quote above, for a moment today. A transaction is defined as; “an interaction”, “an exchange”, “a covenant”, “a relationship”, Prayer is ALL of that and so much more!  “…a spiritual transaction” between you and “…the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the sea and all that in them is”…truly pause and ponder that for a moment today…AND HE is also the Lover of your soul! Proven; “…in that, we were still yet sinners [lost, wretched, rebellious], HE died [gave HIS life for] us!”

My friends, Day 28 has arrived and only 3 days are left of our journey together in 30 Days of Prayer! The word “transaction” may seem kind of cold to describe the personal relationship we can have with Christ Jesus our Lord…yet it is one we can understand easily, as every one of us transact every single day of our lives…secularly speaking. So Prayer should be, as transactions are, a very normal, ongoing, exciting, interaction between us and “the Lover of our souls”…not someone just seeking something from us…or us seeking something from them, as is a worldly transaction…which have become incredibly common, but unfortunately cold (think online purchases) in our lives today.

With just 3 days left, let us personally“transact” (interact) with our Savior and Lord! No “mere mental exercises”, or “a vocal performance.” Let’s make this time of Prayer “far deeper”. A personal relationship (“transaction”) with Christ Jesus our Lord…but W A I T!!!  HE has already entered into this transaction with you! HE purchased you; “…you were bought with a high price.” “You are no longer your own…” 1 Corinth 6:19, 20. But the question that begs an answer this very day is; Have you completed the transaction with HIM who purchased you with the highest form (value) of payment? HIS blood. Transactions are two ways…Always! Have you completed your part? My friends, your heart is all that “the Lover of your soul” asks of you in this “transaction”, “interaction”, “exchange”, “covenant”, “relationship” of Love…that is made complete in you today through Prayer!
