The focus of every program within Paradise Bound is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know him as their personal Lord and Savior. Presenting the ministry to those who are not familiar with PBM is simple. We share the process from the initial impact within a village through medical clinics, building homes, and discipleship right to the end of our brochure where we explain Pastor Training and Church planting. The one program that does not fit into the same mold is likely the one that is most dear to our hearts…Open Doors Orphanage.

Eight years ago, Open Doors began providing refuge for precious little ones that were desperate for a loving home, nutritious food, and proper medical care. We did not do this because it fit in with the rest of PBM’s programs/outreaches, but because it is what God has commanded all of us to do!

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

Psalm 82:3

Over the years there has been no shortage of children that have needed PBM to step in and provide the security they lack. Some enter our doors just briefly while others call Open Doors home for many years. Our mission team members are blessed to be able to spend time in the orphanage, nestled within our mission base, loving on the children and serving the caregivers. Many return home, having left a little piece of their heart behind and ask the question, “How can I be more involved?”

There are many ways to answer that question. Providing for the needs of these children takes many who are willing to step into the gap and become a part of their lives in the following ways:

• Pray for these children and their caregivers daily: many children come to Open Doors with serious medical needs and emotional scars. Pray that God will allow them to grow and thrive.
• Become an Open Doors Partner: commit to a monthly recurring gift that provides medical care, nutritious meals, clothing, education, loving caregivers, and the Love of Jesus.
